Exam Information

The Dentistry profession has two license classifications that require examinations. Specific information for each exam requirement is listed in the tabs below.

Dental Hygienist with or without Local Anesthesia Permit

There are two examination requirements for this license classification. Both are listed below.

National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) administered by the American Dental Association Joint Commission on Dental Examinations.

AND

Any one (1) of the following examinations:
- - ADEX Examination - Dental Hygiene (previously known as WREB, CITA and CDCA), with a passing score as established by the ADEX;
  - SRTA Examination, with a passing score as established by the SRTA;
  - CRDTS Examination, with a passing score as established by the CRDTS.

Dentist

There are two examination requirements for this license classification. Both are listed below.

Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE) administered by the American Dental Association Joint Commission on Dental Examinations.

AND

Any one (1) of the following examinations:
- - ADEX Examination - Dental (previously known as WREB, CDCA, and CITA Examinations), with a passing score as established by the ADEX;
  - SRTA Examination, with a passing score as established by the SRTA;
  - CRDTS Examination, with a passing score as established by the CRDTS.
