Apply for a Veterinary Technician License

If you are currently licensed as a Veterinary Technician in a state, territory, or district of the United States you may qualify for licensure by endorsement. Click here for additional information.
The following requirements must be met:
- Pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE);
AND - One of the following:

- Completed a Veterinary Technician training program accredited by the AVMA-CVTEA AND Employer letter documenting 6 months experience working under licensed veterinarian on Employer Letterhead.
OR - If you have not completed a Veterinary Technician Training Program, have you completed 6,000 hours of supervised practice as unlicensed assistive personnel under a licensed veterinarian? Please submit the
- Completed a Veterinary Technician training program accredited by the AVMA-CVTEA AND Employer letter documenting 6 months experience working under licensed veterinarian on Employer Letterhead.
